An oral history project that focuses on objects and memory. Individuals with memories (whether their own or those they inherited from an ancestor) of life in India or Pakistan have been asked to bring an object that evokes those memories and be interviewed about it. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and included with photographs of the objects to create an archive for future study. The current date range of memories spans from the early 19th century to the present. The goal was to create an archive of personal histories. This will be a valuable resource for those studying daily life and history in the region.
