Are you a museum or a shop?
We are a combination of a museum and a shop, both focused on creating awareness about South and South East Asian art and living traditions. To learn more about our museum and shop, please check the About section.

What are your opening timings?
We are open Monday to Saturday, 9.30-5.00 pm. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays. To know more about visiting us, do have a look at the Visit Us page.

How can I use images of the collection?
Please contact us at info@thesouthasiacollection.co.uk to find out more about licensing images from our collection.

We can provide licenses for images provided:
• That the reproductions are accompanied by the agreed credit details as in the reproduction license form.
• That the reproductions will not be used as provided by us and not edited without prior permissions from the copyright owners.
• That the reproductions will not be used for commercial purposes.

Where can I find more information about the collection?
The South Asia Collection was formed from the private collection of the founders Philip and Jeannie Millward. You can read more about the history of our collection in the About section of the website.

Are there any job openings at The South Asia Collection?
We update our website regularly with job openings and opportunities. Please visit our Work Opportunities page to see what opportunities we have.

Do you organize group visits?
We recommend prior booking for visiting in groups of six or more. Please contact us on info@thesouthasiacollection.co.uk for more information on group visits.

What exhibitions do you currently have on?
We have a permanent display of objects around the museum and a number of curated exhibitions and displays in our cabinets and gallery area. Our current exhibitions are listed on the Exhibitions page.

Do you organise any events?
We host a series of talks and lectures relating to our exhibitions and collections throughout the year. You can find more information on our Events page.

Do you organise any workshops?
Unfortunately, we are not equipped to organise workshops at the moment due to infrastructure limitations. We will update information on our website when we are able to offer workshops in the future.

Do you accept object donations?
Our object acquisition is informed by our collections development policy which considers various parameters of what objects are included in the collection. We accept donations that meet the requirements of our policy. If you have an object to donate, please contact us on info@thesouthasiacollection.co.uk to discuss further.

Where do you get your products from?
Our products are ethically sourced from artisans and suppliers in South Asia who work with traditional crafts from the region. Our founders continue to work with suppliers they met around 45 years ago with the intention of supporting the livelihoods of artisan families in the region.

Do you ship internationally?
We are unable to ship internationally. We can only deliver within the United Kingdom.

Do you have products other than the ones on the online shop?
We only have a selection of products that we stock online. There is a wider range of textiles, furniture, rugs, and handicraft items that we stock in the shop.

How long do you take for delivery?
We use Royal Mail services for delivery of your online order. Standard Royal Mail timings will apply for delivery unless you have requested for a faster service.

Do you have gift cards?
You can purchase a gift card on our website. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. More information can be found in our shop section.

Can I cancel my order?
Please email us on countryandeastern@thesouthasiacollection.co.uk or call us on 01603 663890 and we will help you with cancelling your order.

What is the policy on returns and exchange?
We can accept returns or offer exchanges within 28 days of purchase provided the item is returned in the same condition that we have shipped it in, meaning it has not been washed, altered, damaged or stained. Country & Eastern reserves the right to decide whether item returned to us meets the above conditions. Please refer to our returns and exchange policy for complete details.
