How do objects in a museum collection affect the painter who paints them? As part of our Objects of Creativity project, the artist Alec Cumming was invited to create a number of monumental paintings inspired by The South Asia Collection. This exhibition displays Alec’s preparatory drawings, alongside objects from The South Asia Collection and quotes about how living in India, and the objects in the Collection, have influenced his art.
